The London Skills & Employment Observatory is an online portal for data and information on the London labour market. It exists to build a shared understanding of the current labour market in the capital and its projected future trends. The Observatory sets out to achieve this by drawing together the many existing sources of data, research and projections on the London labour market, identifying gaps in existing knowledge and developing solutions to address these gaps.

The project is managed by the Centre for Economic & Social Inclusion. It is funded by the London Development Agency and European Social Fund (ESF) Technical Assistance.
The work of the Observatory is overseen by a Steering Group, which is made up of key stakeholders of skills and employment in London. The Steering Group meets regularly and is chaired by the London Development Agency.
The London Skills & Employment Observatory sets out to help: professionals responsible for making skills and employment policy; organisations and individuals who plan and deliver skills and employment services in London; and analysts and researchers, who work to inform and review policy and practice.
