The London Development Agency (LDA) and London Councils implemented use of the Employability Performance Rating system in 2010 as a comprehensive tool to benchmark the achievements of employability service providers in London. The rating system awards a star rating based on three key areas: delivery performance, quality and contract compliance. It is currently being used by 22 LDA and GLA lead grant holders and their 48 sub-grantees, and 30 London Council ESF grant holders.
The Employability Performance Rating is an annual rating and each grant holder has been awarded between zero and four stars.

Please note: that the majority of grants were in their first year of delivery in 2010/11, and could have been subject to delay in operational start-up in some cases. Where grant holders delivering to the same client group, such as workless parents, have all underperformed the performance rating provides a platform for analysis of the appropriateness of the specification and delivery model utilised.
