In March 2012, there were 234,500 people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) in London and 1,613,000 in the UK. The proportion of London's resident working age population claiming JSA was 4.3%, practically the same as the previous seven months . The equivalent proportion in the UK was 4%, a difference of 0.3 percentage points.
