The government has announced that 50,000 apprenticeship places will be delivered and funded through the redirection of £200 million of the Train to Gain budget. A fund for college building programmes will also be established. The Skills Funding Agency will manage funding for these new priorities as well as the remaining Train to Gain budget.
Train to Gain and the Apprenticeships programme will continue to provide individuals and businesses with the opportunities necessary to enhance job prospects and assist industry to compete in tough economic conditions.
